On Sun 11 Jun, grab your wellies, round up your herd and get moo-ving to the annual Open Farm Sunday event, which has proved popular in past years with MoneySavers looking for a baa-gain day out. About 350 farms across England, Scotland and Wales will open their gates to the public for various activities.
To find out if your local farm is participating, use this Farm Finder – it lists all the info for each farm's event, including opening times.
Most are free to enter (about 90%), but others will charge a fee (£1-£10) or ask for a donation. If no entrance fee is mentioned on the website it shouldn't be charging, although it's best to check with the farm before you trot on down.
The activities vary at each farm – examples include lamb feeding, welly wanging, pony rides, egg collecting, sheep shearing, face painting, walking tours, and tractor rides (some may require a charge). You might need to book ahead for some farms or activities so don't be sheepish, check out the details online.
