deafPLUS -Employment and Career Advice Helpline for deaf and hard of hearing people

deafPLUS is a national charity which promotes social change, independence and wellbeing and develops potential for deaf, hard of hearing and visually impaired people.

Our new service aims to assist young people who are under the age of 30 and who live in Berkshire, Hampshire, Wiltshire and Sussex with guidance, information and advice regarding employment and their career plan. The helpline is a Deaf-friendly tool where people can use sign language, lipread or type on various platforms: Skype, Oovoo or Facetime.

Although this service is focused on the counties and the age range mentioned above, it is also open to anyone else who is older or lives outside these locations.

We feel that this is an important area, to give young people confidence and independence with their career planning and job hunting.
